Winston-Salem, NC Showcase Recap and All-Showcase Teams

The final Coast2Coast showcase of the year concluded over the weekend and despite the camp being smaller in number of players compared to our other camps, the talent level and competition was high.

Players were put through multiple skill development sessions consisting of pick and roll play, footwork, and finishing drills lead by camp coaches and staff. After going through a thorough one hour practice each team played 2 games with full 3 man officiating crews over-seeing the action.

Denmark and Canada got the day of games started with the best contest of the day. The game was back and forth but Denmark was able to secure a double digit point lead in the 3rd and into the 4th. Canada made a late run but Denmark was able to hang on and get the 77-69 win.

Canada bounced back and handled Spain in game 2, 67-54. Team Spain fought hard and got the game into single digits, until a late run by Canada in the end. A tired Spain team was outmatched by Denmark in the last game of the day by a score of 80-50, as Denmark secured the championship by going 2-0.

Eric Freeman was consistent all day and on both ends for Denmark and walked away with the MVP for Team Denmark. The 6'7 PF/C showcased his athleticism with multiple above the rim finishes. He was a good teammate, unselfish, showcased a high motor, and played tough inside.
